Traverse City’s Ninth Street to close for reconstruction

On Monday, September 8, Teams Elmer’s will begin a project to reconstruct Ninth Street in Traverse City between Union and Cass Streets.

The project will include the full reconstruction of the street, new curbs, sewer systems, bioswales and galvanized service replacements.

There will be no parking on the east side of Ninth Street between Union and Lake Avenue on the north side on even days and the south side on odd days.

During construction, Ninth Street will be closed between Cass Street and Union Street. Cass will also be closed at Ninth Street for watermain and sewer work, but Union Street will stay open during construction.
