ALHAMBRA, Calif. — Police in Southern California are crediting a convenience store worker for recognizing a signal for help from a domestic abuse victim and quick thinking that potentially saved the woman's life.
The Alhambra Police Department shared body camera video of an officer talking to the woman inside a 7-Eleven store who needed help. Police say she used hand signals behind her back that the worker recognized.
"He did a great job because she needed help and that was a good time he did it. He made a good call," another 7-Eleven worker, Shamsher Singh, told KNBC .
Singh said it was his co-worker who noticed the signal and called police.
