A 42-year-old man who was wanted for kidnapping and strangulation, among other things, was arrested Wednesday morning on a warrant.
On Aug. 22, a 37-year-old woman on Tressa Road reported that her 42-year-old husband had assaulted her. She said he broke down the bedroom door, pulled her into the hallway and hit her several times, said Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds. While she was on the floor, he laid on top of her and pushed on her neck with her forearm, causing her to have trouble breathing.
She was able to escape the house with her two children, and she was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries, Reynolds said.
A warrant was issued, and the man was arrested on the warrant Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Lakeway Road for kidnapping, strangulation, domestic battery,
