HOUSTON -- Carlos Rodón earned his 16th win to grab a share of the Major League lead as the Yankees topped the Astros, 8-4 , on Thursday night to win their three-game series at Daikin Park and complete a 5-1 road trip.

Rodón (16-7) went six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks. He struck out three in matching the career high for victories he set last year and tying Milwaukee’s Freddy Peralta for this year’s MLB lead.

Ryan McMahon had a solo home run and two RBI singles, and Trent Grisham hit a three-run homer for the Yankees.
