LIVINGSTON, Ala. ( WBRC ) - After a big win in Week 1 of the Scott Cochran era, West Alabama is now ranked in all major polls for D2 football.
Cochran and the Tigers put 14 points on the board in the 4th quarter last Saturday and defeated Fort Valley State 27-17 inside historic Legion Field.
After the win, the Tigers were ranked in the Top 25 by D2Football.com, AFCA, and FloCollege.
AFCA ranked the Tigers as the #25 team, D2Football ranked them as the #22 team, and FloCollege ranked the program as the #18 team in the country.
The Tigers will be back on the field this Saturday for their first road test of the season in Murfreesboro, North Carolina taking on the Chowan Hawks. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
