ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Dozens of Creamland Dairy workers gathered to protest on Thursday for better working conditions and higher pay. Members of Teamsters Local 492 said they held strikes in Albuquerque and Farmington, saying the company is deliberately delaying contract negotiations. A spokesperson for the union says the Creamland plants have been stalling negotiations.

"They're willing to spend gobs and gobs of money on security out here to show force. We're peaceful here. Use that money to give our, use those resources to give our members a contract they deserve," said Andrew Palmer, Secretary, Teamsters Local 492 Union.

Palmer said they hope the strike leads to higher wages and better working conditions for Creamland workers.
