A person was wounded Saturday in a shooting in the Westlake District of Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred at 4:12 p.m. Saturday at 619 S. Westlake Ave., a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center told City News Service.

The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance, she said.

The victim’s name, gender, age and condition were not available.

An investigation was underway at the scene including a search for suspects, the officer said.
