A Lanarkshire thug has been jailed after he threatened an East Kilbride worker at a shop he was barred from.

Travis McNair, from Carluke made a slashing gesture and warned he would be waiting outside when the worker completed his shift.

The 25-year-old admitted threatening or abusive behaviour at the Premier store in Melbourne Avenue, East Kilbride, on July 25 last year, at Hamilton Sheriff Court, reports Lanarkshire Live .

Jack Muir, prosecuting, told the court: “The accused entered the shop about 2pm.

“Members of staff approached and asked him to leave due to previous dealings with him.

“The accused asked ‘What am I barred for? What have I done?’

“The employees again requested that he leave and McNair made his way to the front of the shop.
