An urgent search has been launched for a missing Aviemore man who may have travelled to Glasgow.

Iain Carruthers, 43, was last seen in the Highland town on Thursday (September 4) morning.

He is 6ft tall, of slim build, shaved head of dark brown hair with light stubble. He is thought to have been wearing a blue zipped top and a dark flat hat.

Police believe he may have travelled to the Glasgow area.

Sergeant Craig McGhee said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Iain’s welfare and would urge anyone who may have seen him or has information on his whereabouts to please get in touch.

“Iain if you see this appeal, please let us know that you are safe and well.”
