TAMPA — The Guardians placed rookie reliever Nic Enright on the 15-day injured list with right elbow/forearm inflammation ahead of Thursday’s series opener against the Rays.

In a corresponding move, the club recalled righty Zak Kent to take Enright’s spot in the bullpen.

Enright went 2-1 with a 2.03 ERA in 27 appearances after making his big league debut May 25 in a 5-0 loss to the Tigers. He had pitched well since rejoining the club in late July, allowing just two earned runs in his last 14 appearances with 16 strikeouts in that span.
