After an overnight storm dampened the region, Newark and the North Jersey area are waking up to calmer, cooler conditions this Friday morning, providing a more comfortable close to the week.
As of 4:30 a.m., many early commuters across the region are experiencing patchy fog and low visibility, especially in lower-lying areas.
The roads are still damp from last night’s rain, and a muggy feeling lingers in the air. Clouds are hanging low over much of the Newark skyline, but there’s good news ahead.
According to the National Weather Service, conditions are expected to gradually improve, with partly cloudy skies, breezy winds, and drier air moving in throughout the day.
