Sammy Braybrooke is in line for his Newport County debut this weekend with the Leicester City midfielder branded “technically outstanding” by his new boss David Hughes.

Braybrooke and City striker Nathan Opoku joined the Exiles on half-season loans on deadline day and are both in contention to feature against Bristol Rovers on Saturday lunchtime.

After a spell at Dundee in the first half of last season, Braybrooke will get a second chance in men’s football with Newport and is already receiving rave reviews from their manager that suggest he could become a starter at Rodney Parade.

If so, that's only got to help the 21-year-old's development and potentially aid his route into the senior squad at City.
