A father thinks a Cambridgeshire park needs to be made safer after his son drowned in a lake earlier this year. Jack Lloyd, 16, died after drowning at Crown Lakes country park in Farcet , near Peterborough , on April 3.

Jack’s father, Darren Lloyd, believes the lakes need to be made safer to prevent future tragedies. Darren said: “We don’t think it’s a safe environment.

“We think there needs to be more safety precautions in place. [For example], we wondered why there is no ring down there. We just don’t think it is safe at all.”
