SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A news conference to announce the results of yesterday’s ICE raid at the HL-GA Battery Company at the Hyundai megasite was held this morning around 10:30 a.m.

“This operation underscores our commitment to protecting jobs for Georgians and Americans,” HSI Special Agent in Charge Steven Schrank said.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of 475 individuals, Schrank confirmed.

The majority of those arrested were taken to the Folkston ICE Processing Center.

Schrank also said the majority of those arrested were Korean nationals and those who entered the US illegally did so through a variety of means.
