CHICAGO (WLS) -- Smash-and-grab burglars targeted a South Loop GameStop store early Friday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the burglary happened in the 1200-block of South Canal Street just after 4:30 a.m. Chopper 7 was over the scene.

A group of male suspects broke the front glass window before going inside and taking merchandise, police said.

The suspects fled the scene northbound in two SUVs. One vehicle is black and the other is white.

A description of the suspects was not immediately available.

No one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information.
