Hundreds of homes in Cambridgeshire have lost power after an unplanned power cut on Friday afternoon (September 5). The power cut first interrupted power to 2,683 homes in Eaton Socon.
It has been reported that the power cut was affecting 574 properties as of 3.30pm. UK Power Networks has sent engineers to the area to investigate the cause of the power cut.
Specialist engineers are also working to divert the power to homes that are currently without it.
A spokesperson for UK Power Networks said: "We became aware of this power cut at 14:56. We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you. We didn’t know in advance there would be a power cut, but now that we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly.
