A 100th birthday tea was held at the Beatty Heritage House in Rimbey on Aug. 7, as part of the ongoing celebrations this year marking the anniversary milestone.
During the event, a donation was presented to the society from Co-op Evergreen and the Servus Credit Union in the amount of $1210.65.
"They have a rodeo pancake breakfast, and they take donations. They decided to give this year's donations to the Beatty House," said Florence Stemo of the Beatty Heritage House Society.
The Aug. 7th event indeed attracted a solid turn-out, and was an ideal opportunity for friends and supporters of the house - which is a provincially-designated heritage building - to gather.
Meanwhile, there is also more to come in the way of celebration events, including a performance by Edmonton-based singer Cha
