Nicolas Milanovic made his international debut as he helped the Socceroos to a first-leg win in the ‘Soccer Ashes’.
The Aberdeen winger made his first top-team appearance for Australia as they beat New Zealand 1-0 in Canberra.
Milanovic , who made the summer switch from Western Sydney Wanderers to Pittodrie, came off the bench in the 74th minute to replace Ajdin Hrustic.
The 23-year-old - who is Australian’s young player of the year - helped the Socceroos claim a 1-0 victory thanks to a strike from fellow debutant Max Balard.
Hibs star Martin Boyle started and played the first 64 minutes, while his club teammate Jack Iredale was an unused sub after being called up for the first time.
Ex-Hibs player Lewis Miller came off the bench, while his former capital rival, Kye
