Nicolas Milanovic made his international debut as he helped the Socceroos to a first-leg win in the ‘Soccer Ashes’. ‌

The Aberdeen winger made his first top-team appearance for Australia as they beat New Zealand 1-0 in Canberra. ‌

Milanovic , who made the summer switch from Western Sydney Wanderers to Pittodrie, came off the bench in the 74th minute to replace Ajdin Hrustic. ‌

The 23-year-old - who is Australian’s young player of the year - helped the Socceroos claim a 1-0 victory thanks to a strike from fellow debutant Max Balard.
