BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - First Friday festivities in Bryan will include some added flair this week. Community members are invited to attend a celebration of culture and education.

The Bryan-College Station Fiestas Mexicanas are hosting their annual Cultural Day to kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month during First Friday festivities in Downtown Bryan on Sept. 5.

It’s a blend of live music, performances, dancing, and giving back to the community.

Members of Fiestas Mexicanas told KBTX there is a large Hispanic community across the Brazos Valley and the nonprofit’s mission is to promote education through scholarships for higher education, while also instilling the beauty of Mexican culture and rich traditions.
