Reform UK MP for Ashfield, Lee Anderson, speaks during the party's annual conference
Lee Anderson says he knows what it is to struggle financially and be "down to his last fiver" as he hit out at the current state of the welfare system. Reform UK's MP for Ashfield claimed at the party's conference in Birmingham on Friday (September 5) that too many people were trying to get mental health diagnoses to avoid work.
The MP spoke at length about his background working as a miner, following in the footsteps of his father. Mr Anderson told the audience at the NEC: "I've been that person who has been down to his last fiver.
