Today will be a hot day across the ArkLaMiss, with high temperatures in the mid-90s. This heat will move in just before another front. The front will bring us scattered showers and storms early Saturday morning. As these storms move in, a few strong to severe storms can’t be ruled out. Showers and storms should exit by mid-morning, with clouds continuing into the afternoon. This front will bring in cooler air for the end of the weekend. High temperatures on Sunday will be in the mid-80s. The cooler weather will continue into the start of the week before another gradual warm-up.
