BATAVIA — Batavia continued its strong start to the season Thursday night, knocking off Rush-Henrietta 6-2 in the first round of the Batavia Girls Soccer Tournament.

It was a back-and-forth first half, with Batavia jumping out to an early 2-0 lead five minutes in, courtesy of goals from Adyson O'Donnell and Madeline Smith. Rush-Henrietta answered back to cut the deficit in half, before O'Donnell put in a corner kick for her second goal of the night.
