Suspicious fire at abandoned Herrin, Ill. home under investigation

HERRIN, Ill. (KFVS) - A suspicious fire is under investigation in southern Illinois.

According to the Herrin Fire Department, they responded to a fire at an abandoned home on Thursday night, September 4.

They say the fire was deemed suspicious and the fire marshal was called.

The Marion Fire Department, Carterville Fire Department and United ambulance assisted.
