OMAHA, Neb. —

NP Dodge Co. is celebrating its 170th anniversary by giving back to some of the most vulnerable in our community.

It is partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build one bed for each year it has been in business.

That means 170 bedless children in the metro area will get a brand-new bed to sleep on this weekend.

Starting at 8 a.m. Friday, they will have over 300 volunteers sanding, sawing and assembling beds in the NP Dodge parking lot.

NP Dodge CEO Nate Dodge says for 170 years, it has been their mission to provide people shelter and comfort. Now, they are able to do so in a unique way by giving back to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
