A man was stabbed several times Friday while attempting to break up an altercation between another man and a woman in downtown San Diego and authorities said the suspect was at large.
The stabbing occurred at around 3:45 a.m. on Friday when the victim saw the man arguing with and pushing a female in the 1200 block of Sixth Avenue. The victim was stabbed three times in the back and once in the leg by the male suspect while trying to stop the argument, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the victim's friends drove him to the hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening wounds. His name and age has not yet been released.
