AMHERST, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Amherst Survival Center has teamed up with UMass Amherst to open an on-campus food pantry for the university community.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held Friday ahead of the pantry’s official opening Saturday on North Pleasant Street at the former site of the Newman Catholic Center. Students can shop weekly and stock up with roughly 10 days worth of food for their household.
