LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A local veteran was shocked when a car dealership surprised him with a brand new truck.

Theron Bell was gifted a Nissan Frontier Friday by the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family.

Bell is an Army Veteran who served in Afghanistan. When he returned to the U.S., he didn’t have a home to return to.

He faced challenge after challenge, building his life anew and his story resonated with the partnership between Kentucky Wounded Heroes and the Wyler Group.

“When we were founded in 1973, my father was insistent that we give back into communities in which we serve,” David Wyler said. “And there’s truly not a better way to give back than to a veteran, somebody who has served, somebody who is going through trials and tribulations, just to help make their life a little bit easier
