After announcing their first new album in a decade earlier this year, Motion City Soundtrack has unveiled plans for an intimate album release show.

The long-running Minneapolis pop-punkers will celebrate the release of The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World at 7th St. Entry on Sept. 19.

It's sure to be a packed room, as the band typically plays larger rooms, such as in 2022 when it played back-to-back gigs in the First Avenue main room.

Fans will be eager to catch them after the band had to dramatically alter its plans for the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival in July after singer and guitarist Justin Pierre got sick and couldn't perform. He was replaced by a series of guest singers, which made for a memorable set.
