The 61-year-old man thought he was sharing nude photos and graphic videos to teenaged girls.

Instead, he was chatting with members of Niagara Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police child sexual exploitation unit.

In one conversation, Gil Massa, who had sent a sexually explicit video to a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, asked, “You’re not a cop, right?”

To which the undercover officer replied, “No,” and the Niagara Falls man engaged in a sexually-explicit text conversation.

In Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines on Thursday, Massa pleaded guilty to a charge of using telecommunications to communicate with a person who is believed to be under the age of 18 for the purpose of facilitating the commission of an offence and was sentenced to two years behind bars
