It’s a list Niagara Falls actor and writer Luke Hutchie has always wanted to be on: Playback magazine’s annual “10 to Watch” of emerging film and TV talent in Canada.

The annual list is a strong indicator of the faces and names likely to make an impact in years to come. It can also give a young career an immeasurable boost.

While preparing for his next project, Hutchie learned he made this year’s list. His first reaction?

“I was like, ‘Ahhhhh!’” said the writer/star of the Amazon Prime vampire series “Ezra.”

“I gasped. I opened the email, texted my manager and was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I feel like when you do things for so long, you forget that you’re doing them. It’s nice for the outside world, if you will, to acknowledge it.”
