BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. — Megan Boswell, whose case drew national attention after the disappearance and death of her toddler daughter, was sentenced Friday to 33 years in prison in addition to the life sentence she received earlier this year.
The sentencing was handed down in Sullivan County Criminal Court by Judge Jim Goodwin, who described Boswell as a dangerous offender with no remorse for her crimes.
Boswell, 23, was convicted in February on 19 charges related to Evelyn Mae Boswell’s death, including three counts of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and neglect, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, failure to report a death, and 11 counts of filing false reports.
