SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The 14th Annual Ride to Remember will take place on Saturday, starting at 8 am at the corner of Main and Boland Way in downtown Springfield. The start of the route resembles the first eight.

The ride will commemorate police officers, firefighters, and correctional officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Ride to Remember Director John Delaney says this recognition is for the family members, too.

The ride will tour through the City of Springfield, Longmeadow, and East Longmeadow, then to Somers, Enfield, and Hartford, Connecticut. The first rest stop will be on Lake Crescent in Enfield near the Somers Prison, K-9 Training grounds. The second rest stop will be in Hartford, where riders will pay tribute to Fallen Hartford Police Officer Bobby Garden. Hi
