Well folks, as we look at the forecast for Lafayette and much of Indiana, we're tracking a significant shift in our weather pattern. A cold front is moving through today, bringing with it increased clouds and a chance for some scattered rain, mainly to our southern areas later this evening and overnight. While today might start clear, we expect clouds to build this afternoon. We're keeping an eye on a low threat for additional rain late Friday into Saturday, primarily affecting the southern parts of our viewing area.

The big story for the upcoming weekend, however, is the arrival of much cooler air. After this front exits, we're going to experience dry conditions coupled with temperatures dipping significantly below average. We're talking about overnight lows that could approach record le
