LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After 27 years in television, September 5 was Brian Milam’s last day at WKYT.

Brian Milam will become the communications and media relations director for KHSAA, which is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the state.

At the end of Friday’s 6 p.m. newscast, the WKYT team took the time to celebrate Brian and wish him luck on his next adventure.

Brian got his start at WYMT in Hazard in 1998 after graduating from Morehead State University. In 2010, he made the move to WKYT, where he first anchored sports on weekends before moving into a weekday position, and later into our sports director role.
