TAOS — Two months after a Ranchos de Taos woman went missing, a formal investigation has yet to determine if she left of her own volition or was the victim of foul play.
“We have no updates" in the case of Melissa Casias, 53, who was last seen June 26, Wilson Silver, a New Mexico State Police spokesperson, wrote in a recent email.
While other family members disagree, Sierra Casias said she and her father believe her mother left voluntarily due to personal and financial struggles.
“ There’s nothing that can’t be fixed," Sierra Casisas said. "We’re both waiting here with big, wide open arms. We promise we’ll figure things out, and this, too, shall pass.”
