Beginning on Monday, sections of Sun Valley's multiuse path will be closed for asphalt sealing, the city stated in a Tuesday email blast.

The temporary closures will take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

The sections of path scheduled for treatment begin along Elkhorn Road at the tunnel near state Highway 75 before running through Elkhorn Springs and ending at the City Hall intersection.

“The path will reopen when the treatment is cured,” the city stated. “Please follow the signage and pay attention to the closures. … Please note that walking or riding on the treatment too soon will damage the seal and can cause damage to bikes, shoes and can cause injury to pets. ”
