SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A few morning clouds, otherwise sunny and pleasant this weekend with Valley highs in the mid and upper 80s. The Foothills and Sierra may see hazy, smoky skies early but conditions improve in the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s for the Foothills and mid 70s for the Sierra. Similar conditions are forecast for Sunday.

Another trough of low pressure brings even cooler air for the start of the week along with a few clouds. Chances for showers are in the forecast for far Northern California and the Sierra Tuesday through Thursday.

Temperatures warm to near normal for the end of the week.
