Leicester City striker Nathan Opoku made an instant impact on loan at Newport County with a goal and an assist on his debut.
Playing his first senior game in more than 16 months, Opoku came off the bench to drag the Exiles back into their clash with Bristol Rovers, but they ultimately fell to defeat.
Brought on for the final 25 minutes with Newport 2-0 down, the Welsh side went three goals behind before mounting their comeback attempt.
The first goal saw Opoku flick a high ball on to Kai Whitmore, who then lashed the ball into the back of the net.
Then, with 90 seconds remaining, Opoku was alert to a low cross to score a tap-in. Needing one more goal for a point, Newport could not find it.
