The world’s most famous eater is calling Canada home for a few days.

Joey Chestnut is in Toronto for the World Poutine Eating Championships, taking place at Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas Square) on Saturday afternoon as part of the Smoke’s Poutinerie-sponsored Smoke-A-Palooza event.

Outside of the eating contest, the day-long event and the lead-up to it is expected to surpass $1 million raised in support of We Care, which sends children with disabilities to fully accessible summer camps across Canada.

Chestnut, best known for his 17 titles at the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on the Fourth of July each year in New York, said that the chase of new records and titles helps keep him going at the age of 41.
