EAST HOLLYWOOD – A man was shot to death in the drive-thru of a McDonald’s restaurant early Saturday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired at the restaurant located at the corner of Western Avenue and Romain Street around 3:40 a.m.

According to witnesses, a minor fender bender escalated into a heated argument, which escalated to a fight, in the drive-thru, with the suspect pulling out a gun and shooting the man to death and injuring his girlfriend, who was shot in the leg.

“What I heard when I was across the street were two shots…and I heard the lady crying ‘I got shot! I got shot!’” he said. “When I came across the street to check, she was shot in the thigh, but she kept asking [for someone] to help her husband.”
