CERRITOS – The family of a teen shot to death at a Cerritos sports park on Aug. 31 has established a fundraiser to assist them at this difficult time.

One of the victims has been identified as 17-year-old Eliseo Sandoval Valverde, who was a student at Chula Vista High School.

“It is with profound sadness that I write to you today to inform you of the passing of our beautiful and beloved Eliseo Sandoval Valverde, better known as “Cheo,” wrote the organizer of the GoFundMe .

The fundraiser goes on to state, “Little Cheo was returning from a party with his friends in the early hours of August 31st when his life was suddenly cut short.
