It was a big night for three area football teams as they all came out on top during their home opening games on Friday, Sept. 5.

With the highest scoring game, the Osakis Silverstreak football team stomped Minnewaska by a score of 43-15.

During the first quarter, the Silverstreaks were up 8-7. They added 16 more points in the second quarter giving them a 17-point lead after Minnewaska didn't score, staying at 7.

After the third quarter, Minnewaska was still at 7, while Osakis added another 13 points putting them ahead 30-7. Both teams scored in the last quarter with Minnewaska adding 8 points for a final score of 15 and the Silverstreaks adding 6 more points for a total of 43.
