(KRON) – The Alameda Free Library is asking for the city’s designers to let their creativity shine. The library has launched its card design contest, where the winners will have their design as an official library card.

“The Alameda Free Library is the Heart of the Community” is the theme of the design competition.

Participants can be as young as 4 years old. There will be four age categories: 4-8, 9-12, 13-17, and 18 and older, according to Alameda Free Library.

A panel of judges will choose the winners based on originality, creativity, reproducibility and neatness, per the library.

Submissions must be received by the last day of September at 5 p.m. For people interested, more information is available at the Alameda Free Library’s website.
