Gogglebox welcomes five new families as some stars not returning to Channel 4 show

As Gogglebox returned to screens on Friday night, viewers were introduced to five new households joining the sofa critics.

Following a major shake-up to the cast, Channel 4 has given fans a glimpse of the fresh faces who will be settling in alongside longtime favourites such as Jenny and Lee, the Siddiquis, the Malones, and Giles and Mary.

The changes for series 26 come after Joe and Roisin revealed they had "not been asked back" for the latest series, despite appearing on the programme for three and a half years.

The pair confirmed their exit from Gogglebox through a joint Instagram post shared in July.
