CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - People all over the country are pounding the pavement Saturday, Sept. 6, to remember the lives lost on 9/11 and to keep their legacies alive.

That included around 80 runners and walkers in Chesterfield, joining the 9/11 Heroes Run. It’s hosted in partnership with the Travis Manion Foundation , named after a US soldier who lost his life in 2007 while serving in Iraq.

The run also pays tribute to all veterans, current service members and first responders.
