HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - On Saturday afternoon, the Hopewell Police Department announced officers have arrested a suspect after a man was shot and killed on Friday night.
On Friday, at 8:39 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Arlington Road and Raleigh Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds; the victim, who was identified as 34-year-old Travis Lamont Coleman, died at the scene.
Investigators arrested a suspect, who has been identified by authorities as 42-year-old Johnnie Terrell McGhee. McGhee is charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting in a public place resulting in injury.
