STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. -- A group of wildfires in Stevens and Ferry Counties continued to grow overnight.
According to incident management, the Crown Creek Fire is estimated to be 12,862 acres, the Blackhawk Mountain Fire is estimated at 1,017 acres and the Katy Creek Fire is estimated to be 2,717 acres.
All three fires were caused by lightning strikes between August 29 and August 30. There is no containment on any of the three fires.
Incident management says cooler temperatures and smoky conditions will continue Saturday, with a slight chance for thunderstorms near the fires.
