BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Burke County officials are seeking the public's help in locating a missing man in the Paradise Harbor area.

40-year-old Alan Slaughenhoupt was last seen around 3:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, near Lake Rhodhiss.

Police say Alan's family is deeply concerned for his safety and is urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burke County Sheriff’s Office or Burke County Emergency Management immediately. Dial 911 or 828-438-5500 (Option 9).
