Greta Thunberg’s latest ‘freedom flotilla’ is not designed to effectively help the people of Gaza - and that’s the point.

The Global Sumud Flotilla, Greta’s latest attempt to sail into Palestine, has seen activists and actors from across the world descend on Barcelona to board a collection of boats to head towards Israel’s naval blockade.

Yes, as if the people of Gaza hadn’t suffered enough already, here comes Greta.

Among the boxes of food and sanitary items - and taking up space that could have been used for more supplies - is actress Susan Sarandon, Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham and, as my colleague Sharri Markson revealed, an activist who attended the funeral of terrorist leader Nasrallah.

A flotilla that actually wants to deliver aid would look totally different.
