The father of a young teenager who died after a horrific incident in Melbourne has demanded answers as more details are revealed about the shocking deaths of two boys.

A 15-year-old, who has been identified as Dau Akueng, died along with a 12-year-old on Saturday night following a stabbing attack believed to have involved machetes and knives in the city’s west.

Emergency services had been called to Marble Drive in Cobblebank shortly before 8pm.

A 12-year-old boy died at the scene after he was discovered by police with critical injuries, and Dau, who was found seriously injured nearby on Cobble Street, could also not be saved.

Dau’s father Elbilo Akueng has spoken of his grief as he told media his son was walking back home from a basketball stadium when he was attacked.
